Flava (“we”, “our”, “us”) is operated by Denis Shchigolev. We offer the Flava mobile application (“App”) and related websites (“Services”) on a freemium basis. Your privacy is important to us. This notice explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.

 


 

1. Information We Collect

Account & Contact

  • Examples: name, email, Apple ID / Google ID, authentication tokens

  • Purpose: create and secure your account; respond to support requests

 

Profile & User Content

  • Examples: photos (including TrueDepth face‑masking data), bio, chats, likes, matches

  • Purpose: provide core dating features; enable content moderation

 

Location

  • Examples: GPS, coarse network location

  • Purpose: show nearby profiles; power Travel & Global Search features

 

Purchase & Usage

  • Examples: in‑app purchases, subscription status, feature interactions, crash reports

  • Purpose: fulfil transactions; improve features; fix bugs

 

Device & Log

  • Examples: IP address, device model, OS version, error logs, cookies

  • Purpose: security, fraud‑prevention, diagnostics

 

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes above or to comply with legal obligations.

 


 

2. TrueDepth & Camera Data

Flava uses Apple’s TrueDepth API solely to detect head and face position so we can blur or mask faces in private‑chat photos.

 

  • No facial maps, raw depth data, or images ever leave your device.

  • We do not store this data permanently or share it with third parties.

  • Processing occurs in real time and data is discarded immediately after use.

 


 

3. Third‑Party Providers

We share only the data required to operate the Service. Each provider is contractually bound to keep data confidential and secure.

 

  • Google Analytics for Firebase – analytics and performance

  • Firebase Crashlytics – crash reporting

  • Google AdMob / Appodeal – advertising (opt‑out of personalised ads in Settings)

  • Apple In‑App Purchases – payment processing

 


 

4. Legal Bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)

We process your data on the following grounds:

  1. Contract – to deliver the Service you request.

  2. Legitimate Interest – to protect users, prevent fraud, and improve the App.

  3. Consent – for personalised ads, push notifications, and precise location; you can withdraw consent anytime in Settings.

  4. Legal Obligation – to meet tax or regulatory requirements.

 


 

5. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data and to object to certain processing.

We respond within 30 days.


 

6. Cookies & Similar Technologies

The App itself does not set cookies, but our website and third‑party SDKs may. You can refuse cookies in your browser or device settings; some features may not function without them.

 


 

7. Data Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), hashed & salted passwords, least‑privilege access controls, and routine security audits. While no method is 100 % secure, we follow industry best practices to protect your data.

 


 

8. Data Transfers

Your information may be processed on servers outside your country. When transferring data outside the EEA/UK, we rely on standard contractual clauses or other lawful safeguards.


 

 

9. Age Limit

Flava is strictly for users 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it immediately.


 

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this notice; the latest version is always at flava.app/privacy. If changes are material, we will provide 30‑day advance notice in‑app or by email.
